Lynn A. Vann

Licensed Insurance Professional

Though he’s newest on the scene at Collier Financial, Lynn is a natural people-person, so becoming a licensed insurance professional was an easy fit for him.

Tell us about your family.

If you know me, you know I am all about family. My wife, Sarah, and I are newlyweds…and have been for 28 years! We have three incredible children: Crystal, Aram, and Benjamin “Phares.” From the moment I had kids, I knew that being a dad would be the most important job I ever had. In fact, I never really wanted it to end. So when our kids grew up (they are all now 24+) and moved out of the house (one’s in Fort Wayne, one’s in Chicago, and one’s in South Korea!), I had to figure out what the next chapter was. In my case, the next chapter was Collier Financial. In a way, my clients became like children to me — ones I could educate and help guide so that they make good decisions for their futures.

What was your professional experience prior to Collier Financial?

Before coming to Collier Financial, I owned my own business, so interacting with many different kinds of people, paying attention to detail and handling different requests were things I was already very accustomed to. It’s really heartwarming though to see how the role I play as an agent can impact my clients’ lives, and even their children and grandchildren’s lives, well into the future. It humbles me and makes me want to do the best for my clients each and every day.

Anything else to add?

If you ever see me a little frantic around the office, it probably has more to do with a mug than a Medicare crisis. I’m a bit obsessed with drinking out of certain glasses, and when it comes to coffee, it’s got to be my green mug that says “GOLF.” If I can’t find it, I am desperate. One time I saw Ben drinking out of it. Let me just tell you, he hasn’t done it again…

In a way, my clients became like children to me — ones I could educate and help guide so that they make good decisions for their futures.
